Water is vital for living beings, whether they be human, plant, or animal. 71% of the Earth’s surface is made up of water, and up to 60% of the human body is made of water. Without water, there wouldn’t be life on this planet, but more often than not, water is taken for granted. We drink water, we seek shelter from it when it falls from the sky, and we keep little glass tanks of water in our homes so that we can look at fish. However, we also pour sewage into our rivers, spill oil into the sea, and decimate fish populations through overfishing.
No matter how you look at it, water is a part of our daily life and we want to see creative content that reflects this.
From photographs of a moonlit sea, to sci-fi stories about underwater civilizations on a distant water planet, to a scathing reflection on humanity’s relationship with water, we’re interested in what you have to say and show.
Whether it be through prose, poetry, art, photography, film, or any other creative medium, we’d like to see your creative responses to our prompt and publish them.
