Submissions

Submit Your Work

All Northumbria University students are welcome to submit their work to the On Edge Magazine. We publish: Poetry, Flash Fiction, Short Stories, Prose Extracts, Artwork, and Photographs.

Alongside the creative work we seek, we also publish a wider array of content, from essays to films. If you are interested in creating content to be published by On Edge, you can find the details here.

General Guidelines

We take submissions during term time via email (specified for each category below). Submissions must follow the set guidelines and standards listed below.
We are generally open to all types of submissions, but occasionally will put out calls for work following a certain theme so check back here every now and again to see what we’re looking for.

Please do not send more than the maximum limits listed below. Please wait until you have heard back from us until you submit more. Please check out our manuscript formatting guide below for a more in-depth look at
how your written submissions should be formatted.
