Fire is pretty versatile. If you’re a writer, you can have a nice crackling hearth to sit some characters around and have some heart to hearts, write poetry about people who are high off their asses at Burning Man whilst enjoying the show, or just set a character’s stuff on fire and see where things take you. Will you focus on the blaze, or its aftermath? Cosy, or intense? Whatever the case, fire as a central element is what we’re after.
If you’re into art or photography, fire is a great opportunity to play around with lighting, along with having all the various approaches that the writers have.

Whether it be through prose, poetry, art, photography, film, or any other creative medium, we’d like to see your creative responses to our prompt and publish them.
Our submission guidelines for each creative medium can be found here.
If you’d like to submit a prompt idea, or a piece of art or photography to function as a prompt, email us at onedge.northumbria@gmail.com
