Content Creators

What Content Do We Publish?

We publish a myriad of content, provided it fits the general theme of creativity.

To give you an idea of the range of content we’re looking for, here’s a short list of examples:

  • A literary analysis of a piece published by us.
  • Academic pieces on current topics, for example: How climate change impacts the art we produce (this is unwritten so feel free to write it).
  • Book reviews.
  • A video of your dance troupe, spoken word poetry, a song, or a short film for our YouTube channel.
  • Guides for students wanting to hone their craft.
  • An audio recording of a story we have published by a voice artist.
  • Articles on creative topics.

We are open to all types of content so if you have an idea for a piece, feel free to get in touch at onedge.northumbria@gmail.com and we will get back to you.

How to Submit

To submit content to be published on the On Edge website:

  • Please email all submissions to onedge.northumbria@gmail.com with ON EDGE CONTENT written in the query line.
  • We have a wordlimit of 4000 words. However, we have to be realistic because a 4000 word article is too long, and a 500 word essay is too short, so try to be practical as we accept wordcounts at our own discretion.
  • We will not accept any pieces intended to offend or that could cause harm to others.
  • Please include a cover letter including the type of content, what that content includes, and a short author bio including any social media accounts you’d like us to link to. Include a word count here too.

To submit content to be published on the On Edge YouTube channel:

  • Please email all submissions to onedge.northumbria@gmail.com with ON EDGE YOUTUBE written in the query line.
  • We have a limit of 20 minutes in length. However, we may accept videos longer than this depending on their content, so if you wish to submit something longer, please send us a query first.
  • We will not accept any pieces intended to offend or that could cause harm to others.
  • Please include a cover letter including the type of content, what the content includes, and a short author bio including any social media accounts you’d like us to link to. Include a word count here too.

Concerning the Author’s Rights
